Who we are

Paidrex Wallet is operated by Paidrex Technology Ltd ("Paidrex," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect across our website (paidrexwallet.com) and our WhatsApp chatbot, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, and a password/transaction PIN (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store your PIN or password in plain text, and cannot see it ourselves).
• Identity verification (KYC): information needed to verify your identity under applicable regulations. Where we ask for a BVN to set up a virtual account, it is used only to make that one API call and is never written to our database or logs.
• Transaction data: records of wallet funding, transfers, airtime/data purchases, bill payments, and their status, amounts, and references.
• WhatsApp chatbot data: if you message our WhatsApp number, we receive your WhatsApp phone number and the content of your messages (e.g. menu selections, amounts, phone numbers you ask us to top up) in order to carry out the request you're making. A transaction PIN sent during a chat is used only to verify that specific action in real time and is never stored or logged.
• Technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.

How we use your information

• To create and operate your wallet account and process the transactions you request.
• To verify your identity and comply with applicable financial regulations.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized account access.
• To respond to support requests and send you transactional notifications (e.g. purchase receipts, security alerts).
• To improve the reliability of our services.

Sharing with third parties

We share only what's necessary to complete the specific action you request, with:

• Licensed payment and billing processors (for airtime, data, electricity, TV, and bank transfers) — these providers receive the transaction details needed to fulfil your purchase (e.g. recipient phone number or account number, amount).
• WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta) — messages you send to our WhatsApp number are also subject to WhatsApp's own Business Policy and Meta's privacy practices for the Cloud API.
• Regulators and law enforcement, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data retention & security

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations. Passwords and transaction PINs are hashed; sensitive identifiers like BVN are never stored at rest. We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted connections, rate-limiting on sensitive actions, restricted database access) to protect your data, though no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to our regulatory record-keeping obligations, by contacting us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Paidrex Wallet is intended for users who meet the minimum age required to hold a financial account under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect information from children below that age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Paidrex Wallet after a change means you accept the updated policy.
